Best Mortgage and Home Loans

Your Mortgage, My Mission

"I love working with my mortgage clients through every step of the buying process... To do my job the best I can, and then be able to sit with them at the closing table, and see their faces as they buy their first home. It's like Christmas for me. There's just nothing better."

5 Things Loan Officers Don’t Do & 5 Things they Do

Posted on | April 13, 2009 | No Comments

Most people know what loan officers do; get you a loan for a mortgage, but few know what loan officers don’t do.  The following are five things that loan officers do not do that are handled by others.

  • Negotiate contracts
  • Show properties
  • Appraise properties
  • Find Properties
  • Inspect Houses

Here are five things that loan officers will do.

  • Take a look at your credit
  • Provide you with a Good Faith Estimate
  • Meet with you and go over the loan and the loan process
  • Answer questions about your loan
  • Go to closing

Though there are other things loan officers do and don’t do these are the main ones I find that people are not sure about.  Feel free to contact your loan officer and ask him personally so you know what to expect and what not to expect.

"I was very nervous since this was my first house. Taylor was great! I never had to call him because he kept me informed through the entire process. I don't think I could have had a better experience." - Al K.
