Good Friday Tornados in Tennessee
Posted on | April 10, 2009 | No Comments
I’m sitting here in my office watching the news coverage of today’s tornados throughout Middle Tennessee and thinking how lucky so many are today. Though I had been around tornados my entire life but until I actually went through the one here in Nashville in April 1998, I just didn’t understand the devastation that a tornado brought to an area. The East Nashville area was lucky that day since no one died. Unfortunately today, that was not the case and my heart goes out to the family of the new mother and her daughter that didn’t make it through today.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you and your communities. East Nashville is a perfect example of how houses and business can be built again and a community can come back from the brink of destruction. If we could do it here, you can do it there.
